To comply with California
legislation passed for 2001, we are providing the text of the
Fair Claims
Settlement Practices. Section 790.03(h) of the California Insurance Code
enumerates sixteen claims settlement practices which, when either knowingly
committed on a single occasion, or performed with such frequency as to indicate
a general business practice, are considered to be unfair claims settlement
practices and are, thus, prohibited by this section of the California Insurance
Code.
Please note: This information is only
a general description of coverage and procedures. It is not a confirmation of
coverage. For specific coverage and definitions, please refer to your policy
booklet and declarations
You should report your claim directly to your
agent.
If you are unsure how to proceed with reporting your claim, you
may also contact our office directly. Our staff will explain the
claims process so that you know what to expect.
